Office Administration
I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing so until the end.
~Abraham Lincoln~
I am a graduate of Northwest State Community College in Archbold, OH, with an Associate's Degree in Office Administration. My GPA is 3.48. I took the opportunity to go back to school when the job I was in suddenly laid me off. This was in 2010 when the economy got bad. I had always wanted to further my education but with raising a family and work there was not much time left for me. I first had to start with a GED which only took three months. Then I thought, "Why stop there?" so here I am today with a degree!
While in college I made the Dean's List six times. I was also able to obtain student worker positions in the HR Department as an HR Assistant, the Student Resource Center where I was a Clerical Assistant, and with SOAR (Student Orientation Advising and Registration), where I helped new students register for classes. I enjoyed all three positions very much and feel honored to have been employed there.
My college and office experiences have helped me sharpen my skills in Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Transcription, Access, Voice Recognition (Dragon Naturally Speaking 11.5), Document Editing and Proofreading, Records Management, College Keyboarding (46 wpm), Management, and Accounting. It has also helped with people skills, listening skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
